Grand Prix at Zion Church

I think these two videos say it all!

And this video is so true....he is telling me that on the first race, he lost, but then he raced again and won, and raced again and won and raced again and won. It was really neat how they did it ....they had a race for first place, and then if you didn't win first place, you got to start over and race again for second and third place. Well, by the time they did that, Jase's car got to race about 4 times, which was very exciting for Jase. One time it was even against his sister's car. Anyway.....we were all well pleased that he won....because he was just a hoot to watch because he was just so excited.

So, Jase won two trophies. One for best design and the other one for 2nd place in speed.

Cassandra won a blue ribbon for best paint job. But....the best part about this is....Jase gave her one of his trophies, since she didn't win a trophy......(come on....say it with me....AWE...WASN'T THAT SWEET!!!!)
Still too excited to even take a photo.......

On cloud 9
She was excited for her brother!

Jase's friend, Jonathan.

This is my car.....Miss Piggy....she lost.....but that's okay! She did beat out this green car! Ha
The three best design cars for Jase's age group "Puggles".

Cassandra's pencil car.
The race with Cassandra's car in the red lane and Jase's car in the yellow lane.
And here is a photo finish......her car was not too far behind his.

And the three winners....1st place Gracie T. 2nd place Jase and 3rd place, our neighbor Melissa's son.

And yes......we should give credit where credit is due.....Way to GO MOM, for checking in Jase's car 2 weeks early so that he didn't brake it before the big race begun. Haha.....just kidding.....what I really should be saying is WAY TO GO DAD for all your hard work.....you truly made your son and daughter happy! We had a lot of fun!

Easter at Zion and Bethany

I think I just got lucky when I took this picture of Jase because he certaintly wasn't smiling this day. He started running a fever and wasn't feeling real good.

Cassandra on the other hand was having a great day. Ms. Lenny had to help her carry her eggs because she found so many.

She said, she was going to share with her brother.

Mom threw a few eggs in his basket, but basically he just watched everyone.

Can we go now?

Mrs. Carol Jean Rhodes told a wonderful Easter story with the kids using a dozen of plastic eggs that told the story of Jesus riding in on a donkey, and to the end when he Has Risen and the tomb (egg) was empty.
I think all the kids guessed that the last egg was empty. And I have to tell you this part....see the little boy in the blue shirt....not sure who he is, but Mrs. Carol Jean brought out a tiny wine glass and told the kids that Jesus had his last supper with the disciples and drank wine, and the little boy in the blue shirt said, "my dad drinks beer and it makes him drunk and I tell him he needs to quit drinking beer because it makes him drunk". It was cute/funny and.....you know...oh my....
My kids are so sweet....they are always loving on each other....and I LOVE IT!

Cassandra's church friends....Neeley and Naomi.

Awe....so sweet!
Then.....after the Zion Easter Egg hunt, we darted off to our old church, Bethany Baptist. We really enjoyed seeing everyone again. No one had changed....they were as sweet as ever. I'm really glad that we went!

Of course, everyone was amazed to see how much Jase and Cassandra had grown in the past 8 months. Also, Cassandra and Jase were giving everyone hugs and were glad to see them as well.
Now.....we can go home sweet home! YEA
